Steven Hutchins of St. Croix has been named to the Dean's List at Bloomsburg University, Pennsylvania.

SEWAGE PROBLEMS: STENCH, FILTH AND BEYOND

Sewage system breakdowns are an on-again, off-gain problem on St. Croix, and the last month has seen leaks in both the Christiansted and Frederiksted areas. Experts are worried not only about odor and unsanitary conditions but also about the long-term effects on marine life, wildlife and the water table of raw sewage flowing along the streets and into the sea.
