DOH Highlights Sickle Cell Awareness Month

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, and in support of sickle cell patients and programs, the Virgin Islands Department of Health seeks to increase the awareness of the disease in the territory. Sickle cell disease is a chronic blood disorder that affects the red blood cells.
