Elizabeth Fletcher Dies in New Mexico

Elizabeth "Pilar" Fletcher of North Canal Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, died on Saturday, Oct. 10, at her home. She was 50 years old.
Elizabeth “Pilar” Fletcher was a resident of Water Island and St. Croix from 2003 until 2012. She was born Nov. 24, 1964, in Brownville, Texas. She graduated from Duchesne Academy in Houston, Texas. and attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Pilar worked as a chef on a charter yacht which she dearly loved. She was active in the U.S. Pony Club and loved sailing.
Her favorite memories were the time spent with her daughter, Cece, on the beaches of Florida and the Caribbean.
She is survived by her daughter, Celia Jewel Fletcher (CeCe); mother, Celia Jones; father, Luis Armando Alvarez; companion, Dan Janish; brothers: Luis and Walter; sisters: Melanie, Sasha, Ingrid and Kathrin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
