UVI-CES, VIDOA Offer Free Arborists Workshops

The University of the Virgin Islands Cooperative Extension Service (UVI-CES) Agriculture and Natural Resources Program and the V.I. Department of Agriculture Forestry Programs will hold free arborists workshops from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, on St. Croix and Wednesday, Sept. 21, on St. Thomas.
The St. Croix workshop will be held in the Research and Extension Center, Room 133, on the Albert A. Sheen Campus. The St. Thomas workshop will be held in the Weiss Conference Room located in the West Residence Hall, St. Thomas Campus.
The workshop will focus on tree biology, tree propagation in a nursery or at home, tree planting and pruning small trees. Anyone involved with or interested in caring for trees is encouraged to attend this important workshop.
