Engineers and Land Surveyors Reminded to Register for Exam

On behalf of the Virgin Islands Board of Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors, Boards and Commissions reminds the public of the upcoming Engineer and Land Surveyors Exam by NCEES. The exam is scheduled to be administered on Oct. 26and 27, on St. Croix and St. Thomas, respectively. Both exams will be held at the department’s conference rooms, on St. Croix at the Golden Rock Shopping Center and on St. Thomas at the Property and Procurement Building, second floor, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the administrator of boards and commissions of the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs.
Registration for the October exams will be open until Sept. 5. All persons registering for the exam are required to register using the Examinee Management System at www.ncees.org. The following steps should be taken:
· Log into the NCEES Web site.
· Obtain an ID number.
· Register for the specific exam you intend to take.
(For the PE Civil, PE Mechanical, Structural Engineering and Fundamentals of Engineering exams, examinees must also select an afternoon module when they register).
All examinees must register online utilizing the NCEES Examinee Management System and submit payment to the DLCA office no later than Sept. 5. Should anyone need any additional information or have any questions, contact the Boards and Commissions Office on St. Croix at 718-2226.
