Sylvester Bradley Pond, also known as “Lacky,” “Noel,” “Gully” or “Pond” of Flamboyant Welcome died on Aug. 12, at his residence. He was 55 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Claudette C. Pond; daughter, Patricia Pond; stepdaughter, Sophia Bocnicnio; stepson, Craig Cambran; step-grandchildren: Daysha Reed, Aliyana and Syarra Bocnicnio; sisters: Gwendolyn Bernard, Inez Tulloch and Judith Pond; and brothers: Charles, Franklin and Cadmon Pond. He is also survived by son-in-law, Anthony Bocnicnio; cousins: Julia and Anester Pond and Theresa Moses; special friends: Jean and Wallace Wade, Glen Swanston, Rupert Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Simmonds, Carol John, Lorna Pnymer and Mable Lawrence; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 21, at the Iglesia Evanglica Mission Inc. (located at No. 1 La Grange, Frederiksted). Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
