Another Body Found in St. Thomas Harbor

April 14, 2008 — The body of a black male — identified by a family member as 32-year-old Ashanti Frazer of Estate Anna's Retreat — was found floating in the St. Thomas harbor around 6:15 a.m. Monday near Tortola Wharf on Veterans Drive.
The body has been turned over to the local medical examiner to determine the cause of death. There presently appears to be no evidence of foul play, according to a Police Department news release.
The body of another black male — still unidentified, according to VIPD spokeswoman Melody Rames — was found last Friday floating in the waters near Villa Olga in Frenchtown. Police reports indicate that the body, clothed in black knee-length shorts, no shirt and no shoes, appeared to have been in the water for more than one day.
Residents with information on a missing male are urged to contact police at 715-5522, 774-2221 or police emergency 911.
