June 8 – Summer school classes for senior high students meeting requirements or those interested in getting a head start on electives will be held for five weeks from June 18 through July 23 at Charlotte Amalie High School.
According to a press release from Jeanette Smith-Barry, principal, the summer school program will offer the following classes: English 9,10,11 and 12; Speech; U.S., V.I, and Caribbean History; basic and advanced algebra; geometry; computer application; general science; biology; chemistry; physical education; reading; Spanish; home economics, and SAT preparation.
Classes start go from 8:15 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. followed by a break from 10:40 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. and the second series of classes begins at 10:55 a.m. going through 1:20 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Registration is June 14 through 16 at the CAHS Career Center. Interested students must be recommended for required courses. The fee for each class is $100 in addition to a $50 registration fee. All fees are non-refundable.
