Dec. 1, 2005 – Senator Neville James is attending the Council of State Governments Leadership Forum conference in Wilmington, Delaware. He will be out of the territory from Nov. 30 through Dec. 5. The CSG is the only national gathering of state elected and appointed officials in all three branches of government.
Senator James serves on two CSG standing committees; the Environmental Policy Task Force and the Renewable Energy Working Group. Senator James said information shared through these committees could directly impact the Virgin Islands through discussions on emerging environmental and energy trends.
"I am participating in these meeting specifically to explore alternative sources of energy that could decrease the high cost of electricity to Virgin Islanders," Senator James said.
