Antilles School announces that two of its seniors, Greg DeGraff and Julien Loewenstein, have been named 2024 National Merit Scholarship finalists. Following their recognition as semifinalists in September, both students now belong to an exclusive group of approximately 15,000 students competing for scholarships totaling around $28 million, with winners to be revealed this spring.
Antilles Head of School Shannon Harris expressed her pride this week, saying, “In a pool of exceptionally talented students, only 7,250 will be awarded National Merit Scholarships, highlighting the outstanding achievement of Greg and Julien on a national level.

This news not only reflects their individual accomplishments but also continues the distinction of Antilles students being recognized for this esteemed award, dating back to the Class of 1977.”
Harris commended Greg and Julien for their outstanding dedication, emphasizing their academic achievements and holistic participation in school life.  Each of them actively embraced student government, music and athletics, and contributed to our programs in their own way.
“These two bring so much depth beyond their impressive accomplishments, and we are joyfully celebrating their respective success,” Harris noted.
