The Catherine’s Rest home where NBA legend Tim Duncan grew up is on the market, and it’s more than a landmark. The four-bedroom, two-bathroom main house has an attached one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with a separate WAPA meter, meaning it could be easily rented out, according to listing agents Sea Glass Properties.

On a quiet road with no through traffic, it’s a little difficult to picture the 6-foot 11-inch Duncan ducking through the one-story masonry structure. But there’s plenty of room as the 1,876-square-foot home stretches back to about vast unimproved green space.

About three miles from beaches and just 10 minutes from downtown Christiansted, the home is equipped with stainless steel appliances, UV water filtration system, on-demand propane hot water, and a new septic tank. There is ample parking space, a separate workshop, and a fenced-in yard with banana trees. Storage options are plentiful, and a washer and dryer are located in the rear utility room.

Duncan’s childhood was listed at $459,000, a long way from the $945,000 San Antonio-area mansion Duncan sold in 2023. The St. Croix home has a distinct advantage over the nearly 4,000-square-foot Texas estate, however: It’s in the beautiful Virgin Islands.
