The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the community that the LBJ Pump Station force main is currently undergoing repairs and is offline. The sewer system is surcharged, and manhole overflows may occur during this time in the Condo Row area of Christiansted near the intersection of Water Gut Street and King Cross Street (in the vicinity of the Government Parking Lot) due to the heavy rains.
Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid any standing water in the area. The VIWMA staff thanks the community for their patience and cooperation.
