First Vegan and Seafood Festival Pops Off Saturday on St. Thomas

Get ready for the first-ever Vegan and Seafood Festival on Saturday at Yacht Haven Grande on St. Thomas, where local chefs will have the opportunity to show off their culinary talents.

Locals and visitors can experience vegan and seafood delicacies such as lobster, whelks, shrimp, conch, local potfish, veggie burgers, vegan lasagna, ital soup, fried cauliflower, lentil balls, local drinks, and a variety of vegan desserts. A cash bar will also be available.

Chefs will be dishing out their creations from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Canon Yard, Yacht Haven Grande.

More than 20 vendors, such as Love Livin’, Speedy Redemption, Veg 2.0, Chef Maxine, Vegan in Paradise, and Soupermazing N Tingz, will feature their cuisine.

The only charge for entry is excitement to enjoy this new event in Rock City.

The festival, which has been put together by Twin Dread LLC & Promotions, aims to promote social harmony amongst locals and visitors alike and highlight the culinary aspect of the V.I. culture, according to Roy Reid, event coordinator.

Entertainment will also be jumping throughout the day, with DJ Pete spinning the tunes along with performances by Reggae Dynasty and Cool Session Brass out of St John. Happy Times Entertainment will also provide a kids’ corner for families to enjoy.
