Virgin Islands Track and Field Team member Malique Smith competed in the Blue Marlin Last Chance Meet in Nassau, Bahamas, on July 29. He ran a personal best in the 400m hurdles of 50.55. This accomplishment qualifies Smith for the PANAM Games that will be held in Santiago, Chile, from Oct. 20 to Nov. 5.
Malique Smith will compete next for the Virgin Islands in the World Championships, which will be held from Aug. 16 – 28 in Budapest, Hungary.
