VIPD Arrested Suspect From January 1st Incident

During Thursday’s J’ouvert on St. Thomas,  police observed a suspect who has been under investigation concerning an incident that occurred on Jan. 1 in the area of Estate Contant, according to VIPD.  

Police stated they made contact with the suspect, Shamoi Allamby, 26, and took him into custody where he was charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition, and possession of a controlled substance. 

According to press release, Allamby was remanded to corrections, and bail was set at $50,000.
