Superior Court to Host Official Investiture Ceremonies for Judges and Magistrate Judges

On behalf of Presiding Judge Debra S. Watlington, the Judicial Branch Administrative Office informs the public, the media and members of the Virgin Islands Bar Association that the Superior Court will host official investiture ceremonies for judges and magistrate judges who were elevated to the bench during the pandemic.

In the District of St. Croix, Judge of the Superior Court the Honorable Alphonso G. Andrews Jr., Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court the Honorable Yolan Brow-Ross will be publicly sworn in at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the R.H. Amphlett Leader Justice Complex in Kingshill.

Shuttle services will be available at 9 a.m. from the East Parking Lot at the St. Croix Educational Complex High School to the R. H. Amphlett Leader Justice Complex.

In the District of St. Thomas and St. John, Judge of the Superior Court the Honorable Sigrid Tejo and Magistrate Judges of the Superior Court the Honorable Paula J. Norkaitis and the Honorable Simone Van Holten-Turnbull will be publicly sworn in the ceremonial courtroom at the Alexander A. Farrelly Justice Center at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 28.

The public is encouraged to view the proceedings that will be live-streamed from the Judicial Branch Facebook and YouTube pages as well as the Government Access Channels in the respective districts.
