DPW to Pave Roads During April 11-15 in Estate Solitude and Basin Triangle Areas.

The Department of Public Works has several road paving projects scheduled over the next few weeks on St. Croix.

Estate Solitude to Buccaneer Hotel, St. Croix

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Funding: American Rescue Plan Act

Contractor: V.I. Paving Inc.

Key Facts: VI Paving Inc. is currently paving the East End roadway from Ziggy’s Island Market in Estate Solitude heading west to the Buccaneer Hotel entrance.

Project Cost: $1,804,006.26

Estate Solitude to Teagues Bay, St. Croix

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Funding: American Rescue Plan Act

Contractor: Virgin Islands Asphalt Co.

Key Facts: VIAPCO is currently paving the East End roadway from Ziggy’s Island Market in Estate Solitude heading east to Teagues Bay.

Project Cost: $864,176.88

Basin Triangle to Five Corners signal light, St. Croix

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Funding: American Rescue Plan Act

Contractor: V.I. Paving Inc.

Key Facts: Road paving is completed for this project. Striping is currently taking place from Basin Triangle to the Five Corners signal light. Manhole covers are also being raised to the new road height.

Project Cost: $1,658,400.30
