Schneider Regional Treats Man for Knife Wound

A man was treated for a knife wound at the Schneider Regional Medical Center Sunday, according to the V.I. Police Department.

At 2:41 a.m. the 911 Emergency Call Center dispatched officers to Kronprindsens Gade in Charlotte Amalie in response to a report of a possible stabbing.

The male victim, whose name was not release in accordance with department policy, told the officers that he had been stabbed by an unknown female. After being assaulted, the victim ran for assistance to a nearby residence.

The victim was transported to the SRMC via ambulance for treatment, where he was listed in stable condition.

Detectives urged anyone with information about the incident to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
