Two people were robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening on St. Croix by a pair of armed men who left the area firing shots into the air, the V.I. Police Department reported.
At about 8:57 p.m., April 25, the 911 emergency call center received reports of shots fired in the Cruzan Princesse Apartment Condominiums area. 911 also received a report of a robbery that occurred in that area.
Officers traveled to the area and made contact with two people who reported that when they arrived at their apartment building they were approached by two armed males who demanded the woman’s purse.
The suspects then left the area in a vehicle, discharging shots in the air as they fled, according to the police report.
