The Virgin Islands Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) notifies the public of virtual public hearings to address community concerns on pending applications for a Tavern Keeper A Liquor License to conduct the proposed business activity listed as “bar sales of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.”

Pursuant to Virgin Islands law, the Virgin Islands Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs shall determine the maximum number of licenses in historic districts in the Virgin Islands and shall conduct public hearings before issuing Tavernkeeper A Liquor Licenses in those districts. DLCA may refuse to grant an application for alcohol license upon finding, after public notice and adequate hearing, that such refusal is in the public interest.

The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs DLCA invites the community to present testimony either for or against the issuance of the requested licenses to the DLCA. In the St. Thomas-St. John District comments may be submitted at the Property and Procurement Building 8201 Sub Base, Suite 1, St. Thomas, VI 00802-5826 or by email to nestra.lawrence@dlca.vi.gov. In the St. Croix District, comments may be submitted at 3000 Golden Rock Shopping Center, Suite 9, Christiansted, VI 00820-4311 or email to robyn.motta@dlca.vi.gov.
