Car Crash Causes Frederiksted Power Outage Tuesday Evening

A car hit a pole in Frederiksted Tuesday evening, causing a fire, damaging electricalequipment and knocking out electricity in the area.

According to a release from the Water and Power Authority, crews are onsite to survey the extent of the damage and make repairs. WAPA reports electrical service has been restored to customers on St. Croix Feeders 2A, 3A, 4A, and 10A. Customers on Feeder 8B are continuing to experience a service interruption.
