St. Croix Man Charged with Rape – Updated

A 23-year-old resident of Estate Stony Ground was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with rape in a July 23 incident.

According to the V.I. Police-department, at about 5:55 p.m. Aug. 27 police arrested Aaron Henry on a warrant charging him with first-degree rape, first-degree assault, second-degree aggravated rape, and first-degree unlawful sexual contact.

Henry allegedly sexually assaulted a female on or about July 23.

Bail for Henry was set at $150,000. He posted bail and was released to a third party custodian pending his advice of rights hearing.

Henry is a member of the V.I. Air National Guard, which issued the following statement.

“The Virgin Islands National Guard is aware of the allegations made against Henry and is attentively following his case and taking appropriate measures in accordance with all applicable law and Air Force regulations.

“VING’s primary goal is to continue to uphold a climate where service members live the Army and Air corps values, knowing that sexual assault has no place in the Guard and will not be tolerated.
