Man in Critical Condition after Shooting at Lindbergh Bay

A man was listed in critical condition at the Schneider Regional Medical Center after a shooting on Wednesday evening in the Lindbergh Bay area of St. Thomas.

According to the V.I. Police Department at 8:13 p.m. Aug. 26 the 911 emergency call center received a report of shots fired in the vicinity of Trailer City in Lindbergh Bay. Police later learned that a male victim was transported to the hospital via private vehicle for treatment.

The victim, whose name was not released by police in accordance with department policy, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was listed in critical condition.

The VIPD urged anyone with information about the crime to contact police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 ext. 5579 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
