Judicial Branch Launches Public Internet Access to Civil Cases, E-payment of Citations

Judiciary of the U.S. Virgin Islands

The Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands advises the general public that online access to civil cases is now available through its web portal at http://usvipublicaccess.vicourts.org. Access to civil case documents will include basic case information, such as parties, dockets, hearings, assessments and fees.

While every effort is being made to keep information provided over the internet accurate and up-to-date, the judicial branch does not certify the authenticity or accuracy of such information. In the event any user discovers confidential, sensitive or inaccurate data, the user is urged to immediately notify the judicial branch of the Virgin Islands of such occurrence(s). Access to additional documents and case types will be forthcoming at a future date and the judicial branch will advise accordingly.

The judicial branch further advises the public that the online payment processor, which was launched on May 4, 2020, has been updated to include traffic, litter and conservation citations from calendar year 2016 to the present. The online payment processor is accessible via the web portal at http://www.paymentsvicourts.org/.

Since the launch of the new case management system in February of this year, the judicial branch continues to improve access to services to the public and judicial partners, and it remains on schedule to deliver the long-awaited electronic filing capability in the trial court later this month.
