Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls Reacts to Coronavirus Emergency

Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls of the Virgin Islands

Following the National Emergency Declaration by Governor Bryan, and in keeping with all safety advice and precautions as recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), the Caribbean Centers for Boys & Girls VI has decided, in an abundance of caution, to cancel the pre/after-school programming until further notice. This decision goes into effect Wednesday, March 18.

Keeping in line with social distance and self-isolation, all events scheduled for the Center’s Spirit month are also canceled, except for the Non-Event/ Event “Independence Ball.” On March 31, celebrate 47 years of service and “Get Into Action with CCBGVI” by staying safe and healthy and by donating.

Unlike many news organizations, we haven't put up a paywall - we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. Our sites are more popular than ever, but advertising revenues are falling - so you can see why we could use your help. Our independent journalism costs time, money and hard work to keep you informed, but we do it because we believe that it matters. If everybody who appreciates our reporting efforts were to help fund it for as little as $1, our future would be much more secure. Thanks in advance for your support!
