In a letter to the public, the St. Croix Foundation informs it that it’s implementing new proactive operating procedures due to COVID-19 risk. (effective date: March 16, 2020)
“Dear Valued Clients and Partners:
“All of us at St. Croix Foundation for Community Development recognize the gravity of this moment in history and extend our deepest wishes for safety and health to our community as we navigate the territory’s and federal government’s responses to this global crisis.
“As the Foundation leans into what is now a new reality as a result of COVID-19, our team is working diligently to continue to provide responsive, professional service to our clients and community partners. We are concurrently developing new operational protocols relative to how we serve our clients while also keeping our team and partners safe in order to mitigate a community-spread of the virus.
“We ask for your support and cooperation as we institute the following operating procedures which are intended to ensure efficient service during these uncertain times:
“Call first. Please call our offices at the following numbers as the first mode of contact: 773-9898/ 314-853-1327 / 277-8749 or 773-7133.
“As an alternative, email the Foundation at: ecarter@stxfoudation.org or staff@stxfoundation.org or jwilliams@stxfoundation.org. All efforts will be made to be accessible and responsive.
“We ask that clients and partners do not visit our Sunday Market Square office as we will be observing modified working hours. For the foreseeable future, we are implementing new policies and procedures as it pertains to our fiscal sponsorship services. A separate communique will go out to our sponsored project partners for guidance on our new administrative procedures.
“If meetings are necessary, the Foundation will provide Zoom connectivity so that we can connect virtually.
“The Foundation will continue to refine our protocols as events unfold, but we ask for your understanding and adherence at this time.
“Please know that St. Croix Foundation stands with our community as we contend with another major crisis. We are confident that, as in the past, the innate resilience of our people will see us through.
“We also want to invite our civic partners to lean into this moment with us by establishing their own internal operational measures that will ensure the health of your teams and your clients.
“Yours sincerely, Deanna James”
President of the St. Croix Foundation for Community Development
