Monday Forecast: Occasional Showers

Showers will continue to move across the local area from time to time today as a wave of moisture moves southwestward across the region. Daytime high temperatures will average in the mid to upper 80s. Northeasterly winds will prevail at 10-15 miles per hour with higher gusts.

Hazardous marine conditions with seven foot seas continue to affect the coastal waters. Small craft operators are urged to exercise caution due to choppy seas to six feet and winds to 20 knots (23 miles per hour).

There is a moderate risk of rip currents for the northwest beaches of St. Thomas, and for the northern and eastern beaches of St. Croix.
