Weekend Forecast: Breezy, Possible Scattered Showers

A frontal system located to the north of the islands will promote a southeasterly wind flow across the region today. Daytime highs could reach the mid or upper 80s and one or two showers may develop during the afternoon hours.

Small craft operators are urged to exercise caution across the local Atlantic offshore waters and Caribbean passages due to six foot seas. Elsewhere, seas will be up to 5 feet. Winds remain from the east-southeast at 15 knots (18 miles per hour).

There is a moderate risk of rip currents for some Virgin Islands beaches today.
