Carlos Asquith Gittens Dies

Carlos Asquith Gittens

Carlos Asquith Gittens died on Jan. 10.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Matilda Peters; father, Chamberlain Gittens; daughter, Rachel Gittens; and brother, Peter Gittens.

He is survived by his spouse, Neaherme M. Gittens; daughters: Jennifer O. Gittens, Iona I. Gittens, Andine Haywood, Veronica Daniel, Christobel Samuel, Celitha Simon and Wilma A. Gittens-Bergan; sons: Lyndell C. Gittens, Lebbeus T. Gittens, Elvin G. Gittens and Francis Jack; brothers: Elijah Jack, Benjamin, John, James and Moses Gittens; and sisters: Naomi Durrant, Agnes, Ruth, Hermes and Violet Gittens.

He is also survived by 37 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews: too numerous to mention; special friends: Mr. and Mrs. Francis, Rev. Henry James and family, the Griffith family, Pastor Anthony De Vlught, Vincent Bergan, Reginald W. Pigott Jr. and the entire Central Nazarene Church family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at Central Church of the Nazarene, No. 76 Mary’s Fancy. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
