Efrain Rivera Dies

Efrain Rivera died on Oct. 21.

He is survived by his spouse, Luz D. Delgado; daughter, Lydia Rivera; stepdaughters: Carmen Nuñez and Louisa Saldaña-Theophile; son, Miguel Rivera; adopted son, Ricky Denton; daughter-in-law, Tracy Rivera; brother-in-law, Ricardo DeLeon; sisters-in-law: Candida Delgado, Ida Velez, Maria Delgado and Iris Delgado; sisters: Carmen Villega and Ruth DeLeon; goddaughter: Elizabeth Acosta, Haydee Diaz, Sandra Rivera and Rosita Colon; and godson, Juan Colon.

He is also survived by grandchildren: Isabel Rivera, Melba Moore, Emily Rosado, Luis Rivera, Miguel Rivera Jr., D’Andre Friday, Moises, Nicholas, Jose and Hector Ledesma, and Benjamin Rios; great-grandchildren: Alaine and Aaliyah Matthew, and Jayla Moore; nieces: Iris Villega, Jacqueline Aponte, Yvonne Villega-Ortiz, Fanny Villega, Gladys and Glenda Delgado, and Ana Velez-Martinez; and nephews: German Villega, Juan Gonzalez and Richard Aponte.

Other survivors include special friends: Miguel Camacho, Miguel Rentas Sr., Juan Alamo, Angel Diaz Sr., Angel Diaz Jr., Arthur Connor, Jesus Sanes and family, Carlos and Sarita Burgos, Lorenzo Nuñez, Carlos Reyes, Peter Bideau, Alonso Solomon, Rueben Ayala and family, Rueben Melendez and family, Jose Martinez Sr., Concepcion family, Juana Johnson, Maria Carrion, Maria Santos, Luis Aloyo and family, Yvette and Alexis Torres, Cruz Delgado, Aloyo family, Wanda Belardo, and the Lower Love Gas Station crew; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, No. 129 Peter’s Rest.

A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Sunny Acres Seventh-day Adventist Church, Sunny Acres. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
