Candido Garcia Figueroa Dies

Candido Garcia Figueroa died on June 6.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucia Figueroa; and father, Narciso Garcia.
He is survived by his spouse, Inocencia Torres Garcia; daughter, Inocencia Cruz Garcia; sons: Candido Garcia Jr. and Anibal Garcia; grandchildren: Eugenio Cruz III, Anibal Garcia Jr., Candidio Garcia III, Clarissa M. Cruz Quinoñes, Taina, Stephanie, Mandy, Gabriella, Enoé Garcia, Anibal Garcia and Kevin J. Cruz; brother, German Garcia; sisters: Benjamina, Epifania and Luisa Garcia; and nieces: Carmen M. Augustina, Rosita, Dalila, Ruth, Alba, Felicita, Rosa, Diana, Maria, Analuz, Michelli, Lia, Esther, Norma, Leonor, Elba, Juana, Norma, Margie, Peggy and Betty Soto.

He is also survived by nephews: Felix Jr., Pedrito, Jose Antonio, Freddy, Orlando, Juan, Julio, Carlos Rueben, Oscar, Alejandro (Juni) and Nicanor Soto Jr.; special friends: Dunia Y. Cruz, Jesus Quinoñes, Gloria Garcia, Carlos Coles, Migdalia Rodriguez, Angel Montanez, Vera Falu, Barbara and Rylan Guerra, Jorge and Lizette Lopez, Lilliana and Humberto O’Neil, Puli and Denorah Acevedo, Chelo and Anubes Rivera, Dennis and Iris Boriel, Loncho and Isabel Rivera, and Millin; as well as other families and friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a first viewing from 4-6 p.m., Friday, June 15, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, 129 Peter’s Rest, Christiansted, St. Croix.

There will be a second viewing at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 16, at Iglesia H.U.E.C. Alfa Y Omega, Estate Strawberry. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery, Christiansted.
