Orville C. Hanley Dies at 64

Orville C. Hanley

Orville C. Hanley, also known as “Bash,” of Estate Grove Place died on Sept. 2. He was 64 years old.

He is survived by his sisters: Asta Henley Williams, Demaris Ballantine, Marlene Henley and Corlis Bell; brothers: Eugene Henley, Douglas Barker and Leroy Henley; and nieces: Beverley Hodge, Valarie and  Rosealie Williams, Paulette Phillips, Shermaine, Mizzel and Moniqe Seales, Shelva Smith, Tanisha Phillip, Unika and Tabia Pennyfeather, Sunzette, Wilida, Zalika and Isha Henley, Nickole Barker Lake, Sheleaf Barker and Merisa Williams.

He was also survived by nephews: Elston, Craig and Marcio Williams, Deray, Theobald and Akiel Seales, Kevin, Asim, Daudd, Saeed, Akintunde and Obasie Eugene Henley, Caleaf Barker, Azaria Smith-Bell, Leroy Henley Jr. and St. Claire Haynes Jr.; great nieces: Laquisha and Amisha Hilaire; other great nieces and great nephews too numerous to mention. Godbrother, Marlon Williams; and special friends: Derek Watson, Jerome Dickerson, Vain Charles, Ray Daudy Samuel, Angel and Butcher.

Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Elenor Tranberg, Alden Tranberg Martinez, Marcia Williams, Dean Martin, Natalie and Rachell Ballentine, Judith Ballentine Rodriquez, Yvette Ballentine Phillip, Gregory, Derrick and James Ballentine; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family requests that those in attendance wear festive colors.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Refuge Tabernacle Church, Grove. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
