V.I. law requires the representation of one active employee and retiree from the district of St. Thomas-St. John, and one active employee and retiree from the district of St. Croix to serve on the GESC/Health Insurance Board, according to a press release from the Division of Personnel (DOP).

This year, members have two options to cast their votes.  They can vote via the Internet by logging on to the Division of Personnel’s Web site at www.dopusvi.org and clicking on “VOTE,” or they can call 1-877-882-1508 and follow the prompts. Voters will be prompted to enter their date of birth with no spaces (Jan. 1, 1971: 01011971), and the last four digits of their social security number. The voting window will open at 12:01 on May 10 and will close at noon on May 11.

DOP Director Milton E. Potter said, “This is an opportunity for all government employees and retirees covered by the Group Health Insurance Program to actively take part in the elections by casting their vote for the candidate of their choice. Employees/retirees may visit the Division of Personnel’s Web site at www.dopusvi.org to view candidate information to aid them in determining which candidate to select to serve as employee/retiree representatives on the Group Health Insurance Board based on the candidate’s experience and credentials.”
