Classes are canceled at Alfredo Andrews Elementary School for Wednesday and students are being sent home due to heavy overnight winds that damaged parts of the school building, according to the Department of Education.
School buses have been dispatched to the school to begin taking students to their regular drop-off locations. Parents are also asked to pick up their children.
An announcement will be issued later Wednesday regarding the status of classes for Thursday.
