Helena T. Griffin Dies at 66

Helena T. Griffin Helena T.Griffin died on Sept. 12 in Atlanta, Ga. She was born on Feb. 9, 1950, in Butlers, Nevis, to Ethel Wilkinson and Benjamin Hanley.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Cole Griffin; daughters: Sharon and Heather Griffin, Valena Palmer, Vanessa Dewberry and Henrietta Miller, son, Carl Cornelius; sons-in-laws: Jay Dewberry, Marcel Palmer and Oniel Miller; daughter-in-law, Diane Cornelius; and grandchildren: Shannon Claxton, Caressa, Carlotta, CJ and Chelsea Cornelius, Rashad David, Ja’lynn and Jaida Dewberry, Shenelle, Shantelle and Ayden-Shane Camacho, Ki’shoy Griffin and Amaiya Miller.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Caiden, Savvanah, Jaeden and Calayah; brothers: Bryna, Elroy, Leighton, Dave and Nixon; sisters: Alistina, Brenda and Wilma; very close friends: Pastor Rougier and family, Mama Ann John, Bro and Sis Cobb, Sis Neva, Sis Bedminister and family, Teddy Richards, Mr. Davis and many more from Original Pentecostal Church; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A Helena T. Griffin Memorial celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, at Original Pentecostal Church across from Central High School, Kingshill, St. Croix.
