DPNR to Hold Annual Commercial Fishing License Registration in July

The Division of Fish and Wildlife and Division of Environmental Enforcement will hold its annual commercial fishing license registration in July, according to a press release issued Thursday by the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources (VIDPNR).
The St. Thomas-St. John annual commercial fishing registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, July 12 – 14, in the DPNR conference room on the 2nd floor of Cyril E. King Airport.
The St. Croix annual commercial fishing registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, July 19 – 21, on an appointment basis, in the Division of Environmental Enforcement office located in Anna’s Hope.
All commercial fishers in both districts are required to attend one of the registration sessions to renew their licenses. Fishers should bring with them their 2015 fishing license, valid business license and photo identification. They are advised that they need to be up to date with submitting their commercial catch reports in order to renew their licenses. The license renewal process is expected to take approximately 30 minutes.
To schedule an appointment to attend one of the registration sessions or for more information, contact the Division of Fish and Wildlife on St. Thomas at 775-6762 or on St. Croix at 773-1082.
