Norman A. Gibbs, also known as "Cheche," of Estate Catherine’s Rest died on Oct. 30. He was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Owen Gibbs; and nephew, Dwayne Ramdhanny.
He is survived by his sons: Rudolph "Fuzzy" William and Pablo Acevedo; grandchildren: Malik, Andre, Makayla and Mckenzie, Elimar, Genis and Paul; great-grandchildren: Paola and Valentina; sisters: Elenor Johnson, Sharon Ramdhanny, Silva Gibbs and Sande Gibbs; brothers: Patrick Gibbs and Dale Gibbs; nieces: Maria Ramdhanny and Carynthia Gibbs; brother-in-law, Harold Johnson Sr.; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A heartfelt thank you to Monserrate Leon, Roy Stout, Tyrone Hazelwood, Melrose Treasure, Dr. Ann Treasure, "Butcher" Brown, Joseph Rawlins, Hilma Booth, Mary Francis, Elena Marks, the Health South Rehabilitation Center and Montehledra Home for the Elderly in Puerto Rico.
There will be musical tributes at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
