Police Seek Runaway 14-Year-Old

Taharqa Wade (Photo provided by V.I. Police Department.)Juvenile Bureau detectives are asking the St. Thomas community’s help in finding a missing 14-year-old, Taharqa Wade, who according to the V.I. Police Department ran away June 13 while attending the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School.

Wade has been sighted several times on St. Thomas since then, detectives said.

Wade has a dark brown complexion and short black hair. He is 4 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 75 pounds. He has been seen in the Oswald Harris Court and the Paul M. Pearson Garden housing communities as well as Sugar Estate First Avenue, Thomasville and the Boulevard.

Detectives reminded the public that anyone harboring Wade or helping him to evade the police can face criminal charges.

Anyone who has seen this minor or has information about his whereabouts can call detectives at 1-340-715-5542, through the 911 emergency center or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1800-222-8477.
