Man Steals TV at Gun Point

A St. Thomas man was home watching television early Saturday morning when a gunman stole it, literally from right in front of his eyes, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, the man was in his residence in Liliendahl and Mararienhoj on St. Thomas watching his 20-inch television when, at about 1:10 a.m., a man entered his apartment, put a gun to his head and said “I’m going with the TV.” The suspect picked up the television and left the apartment.

The victim told police the suspect is a person he has seen before but doesn’t know his name or where he lives.

This case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives for further investigation.
