Marley Saunders, 20, was arrested Wednesday after witnesses told police he was the person who broke into the vehicle of a 24-year-old victim and removed a laptop computer valued at more than $1,800 from the car.
According to the V.I. Police Department, the incident occurred Jan. 18 on Main Street. Saunders was arrested by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau on St. Thomas.
Saunders was charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property, and damage to a vehicle. His bail was set at $65,000 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
