Vendors Plaza Lottery Drawing and Tent Distribution Scheduled

The annual Emancipation Garden Vendors’ Plaza lottery has been scheduled for all Vendors Plaza tenants. The drawing is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, in the DLCA conference room, according to a press release issued on Wednesday by the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs.
Vendors are reminded that only spot holders will be allowed to draw. Non-spot holders will not be permitted to draw in place of spot holders. Vendors with outstanding citation and licensing fees will not be allowed to draw unless said amounts are paid in full. Vendors should note that they will not be permitted to move into their new spot until Monday, Feb. 11.
Additionally, tenants should note that the distribution of the replacement tents and covers will take place during the week prior to re-locating into the new spots. Distribution is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7 and Friday, Feb. 8, on both days. Distribution of the tents will take place on the ground floor of the Property and Procurement Building, No. 1 Sub Base (downstairs of DLCA, next to the elevator). All tenants of Vendors Plaza are urged to secure a new tent cover and frame, if necessary. Payment for the tents and frames must be received in full on the day of distribution.
Tents will be distributed only to vendors on record or their designated representatives. They will be required to sign a Vendors Plaza spot agreement in accordance with the Vendors Plaza Rules and Regulations and abide by the terms of the rules.
For additional information regarding the lottery drawing or tent distribution, contact Licensing Director Knolah Nicholls Thomas on St. Thomas at 774-3130 ext. 4239.
