Dolorita Bastian Watts Dies at 87

Dolorita Bastaian WattsDolorita Bastian Watts, also known as "Dolo” or “Cake Lady," of Grove Place died on Jan. 3 at Gov. Juan Luis Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters: Donah Watts-Brow and Williemae Watts-Walcott; adopted daughter, Debra M. Hendrickson; sons: Rubio Archibald Sr., James Watts, Elroy Watts, Anselmo Watts, Enrique Watts, George Watts Sr. and Antonio Watts Sr.; stepson, Joseph E. Watts Jr.; grandchildren: Robert, Rubio Jr., John, Barbara Sadequa, Leila Alexis Archibald, Donah II, Leroy Samuel Jr., Joseph Brow, Corine, Bericia, George Jr., Dushane Donte, Eboni, Karen,June, Latoya, Shakima, Annica, Sharoma Anselmo Jr., Selmo, Nytisha, Antonio Jr., Jerell, Niara Watts, Chamoni Walcott-Weekes, Kenia Walcott-Ayala, Arainna and Kenny Walcott Jr.; 41 great-grandchildren; special granddaughter, Karen Watts; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is also survived by daughters-in-law: Armancia Nico-Watts, Delores Simmon-Watts, Beverly Archibald, Denice Miller- Watts and Diane Bryan; son-in-law, Charles M. Brow; sisters: Arminta B. Dickerson and Ann Bastian; brothers: Wilfred Allick, Valdemor Bastain and Enrique Bastain; nine nieces; four nephews; special great niece, Janet Brow; great nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; special friends: Laurely Hall, Textile Mill workers, Kadila Knows, Eudina Lang, Women In Mission, Magaret S. McIntosh, Annabell Bastian, Magdaline Hobson, Glenn Miller, Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Rueben A. Vessup, Larry George, the Mason family, Gwen Jacobs, Bryon; cousins and other relatives: the Bastian, Christian, Lewis, Allick, Dickerson, Durant, Morris, Lawrance, Acoy, Bryan, Murray, Crump, Drummond and Watson families; as well as other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at Friendenfeld Morvian Church. Interment will be at Friedenfeld Morvian Cemetery. All arrangements are by James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
