VIUCEDD Hosts Annual Voices That Count Policy Forum

The Virgin Islands University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (VIUCEDD) will be hosting the 9th annual Voices That Count policy forum entitled “An Inclusive Workforce is a Strong Workforce.”
During the forum, people with disabilities and their families along with concerned community members, will have an opportunity to solicit the views of those seeking to represent the Virgin Islands in the U.S. Congress and the territorial legislature.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on St. Thomas, Oct. 11 and 12, at the University of the Virgin Islands-Administration and Conference Center and on St. Croix, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 16, at the UVI St. Croix Campus, Great Hall. There is no fee for the event, but space is limited and registration is required. People can register online at: vtc.viucedd.org or by contacting Ms. Pierre-Louis on St. Croix at 692-4266. On St. Thomas, contact Ms. Forde at 776-9200 ext. 2334. Reasonable accommodations such as sign language interpreters also need to be requested in advance.
