Ivone L. Simon Dies at 66

Ivone Lamothe Simon

Ivone (Ivan) L. Simon, also known as "Fred," of Estate Whim died on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Keithley Edwards Sr. and Walton Simon.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Simon; sisters: Mona Simon, Helen Simon Spencer and Naomi Simon Williams; brothers: Ronald, Edwin, Dan, Wycliff, Enoch and Stanley Simon, Edmundson Edwards and Foster Thomas; nieces to include: Elaine Spencer, Nadia Fearon-Tejada, Debra Edwards, Avonelle, Gloria and Dawn Simon, and Hilary Donovan; nephews: Keithley Edwards Jr., Leonard Spencer Jr., Omar Tejada and Eustace Simon; great nieces: Naylanie and Nayomi Tejada; great nephews to include: Shaquille Pennyfeather; great-great nephew: Jahquille Pennyfeather; aunt, Beryl Sweeney; brothers-in-law to include: Evan Smith, Allen Francis, Carlton Andrew, Eustace James and Austin Payne; sisters-in-law to include: Crystal Fairway, Cona Payne, Edna Smith and Agnes Simon; goddaughter, Christine Guirty; special friends: Ineatha Greene, Evannie and Deroy Jeremiah and family, Irea Cole, Richardson Tonge, Roseline James, Eustace Roach, Coralie and Wilfred Henry and family, and Carlyle Ham; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Friedensberg Moravian Church, Frederiksted. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
