As a high school senior, Marianne Ragins made headlines when she received a record-breaking $400,000+ in scholarship funds. In The Scholarship Workshop, a three-hour interactive seminar designed to help students conduct a successful scholarship search, she takes students through the step-by-step process of finding and winning money for college. The first workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the St, Croix Campus of UVI. The second workshop will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, on the St. Thomas Campus of UVI.

Ragins graduated summa cum laude from Florida A&M University and attended graduate school at George Washington University where she received an MBA. She is the founder and president of The Scholarship Workshop and sponsor of the Ragins/Braswell National Scholarship.
