Mariel Estella Weeks, also known as "Miss Weeks," of Grove Place died on July 31, at her residence. She was 91 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Mildred Sayers; son, Austin Joseph; grandchildren: Susan Oyola (N.Y.), Jennifer Sayers (N.Y.), Anna Finch (Maryland) and Dwayne Joseph (N.Y.); eight great- grandchildren; sister, Elouise Simms; brothers: James Weeks and Henry Weeks; nieces: Rita Ferdinand and Barbara Judd; five great nieces; four great nephews; special friends: Lorraine Wenner, Dolores Ilse, Thomas Williams, John Abramson, Claude Richards, Alvin Joseph, Francis Gustave (Mr. and Mrs), Lydia Greyham and Christina Gilmore; as well as cousins and other relatives too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and funeral services at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Luke’s AME Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
