Human Services Hosts Reverse Job Fair for Seniors

The Department of Human Services Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) will host a reverse job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 29, at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall campus on St. Croix. Unlike the typical job fair, SCSEP enrollees will be marketed to businesses, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations.

The resumes and skills of program participants will be displayed as employers consider prospective senior citizen employees. SCSEP Director Cindy Rollins-Williams will discuss topics concerning the program and the benefits of investing in an older worker. Additional remarks will be given by acting administrator for Human Services Senior Citizen Affairs Murlene Van Bevrhoudt, Human Services Commissioner Chris Finch and the Department of Labor’s Commissioner Albert Bryan.
