Dominica Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident

Richardson Seaman, 40, of Dominica died around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on St. Thomas after his motorcycle collided with a 2005 black Audi, a Police Department press release issued Wednesday indicated. Seaman was not wearing a helmet.

According to the police investigation, Seaman was driving north on Weymouth Rhymer Highway near McDonald’s. The Audi was traveling south on the same road in the same area. The vehicle entered into the north bound lane and collided with the motorcycle.

Seaman was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center by ambulance. Medical staff said Seaman sustained serious head injury and later died from those injuries.

Police Department spokeswoman Melody Rames said the accident is under investigation. She said no further action will be taken until the investigation is done.

Seaman was on St. Thomas visiting friends.
