Byron Ulysses Evans Sr. died on May 18, at Schneider Regional Medical Center. He was 78 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Daril D. Evans; stepmother, Celeste Evans; sons: Byron U. Evans Jr., Wayne Rhymer, Ivan Issa Evans, Derrick A. Evans, Cleon D. Evans; daughters: Selene Evans, Patricia Evans, Grace Evans Wingfield; brothers-in-law: Wesley Challenger, Bingley Richardson, David Richardson, Benito Smith; sister, Celestine Smith; sisters-in-law: Dawn Librud, Deanna Richardson, Dale Richardson, Marilyn Richardson; son-in-law, Bertrand Washasha X. Lettsome; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends in Tortola, St. Kitts.
There will be a viewing held at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at noon on Tuesday, May 29, at Church of the Holy Spirit Estate Hope. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 2.
