Gerda N. Roebuck, better known as "Miss Gerda," was born on St. John Feb. 11, 1921, and she lived her life on St. Thomas until she died on May 23 at the age of 91. A viewing will be held at John Thomas Memorial Chapel from 5:30 until 8 p.m. on June 4. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on June 5 at the Nisky Moravian Church.
Miss Roebuck was employed at Elvehoj Fashion Dress Boutique until she retired. She is survived by sons: Leopold Griffith, Lawrence Griffith Sr.; Dimitri Nibbs and their families; daughters: Grace Gregory, Doreen Hendrickson, Delriece Nibbs and their families; brother, Merrill Sewer and family; 20 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; stepchildren: Griffith, Nibbs and Roebuck families; and many other close friends and relatives. She is also survived by Sewer, Hendricks, Christian, Taylor, Logan and Pope families;
her extended Lazpaz Hospice family; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
In lieu of flowers donations are to be made to the Nisky Moravian Church in memory of Gerda N. Roebuck.
